MOSCOW, Feb 27 (PRIME) -- Russian coal producer Kolmar plans to raise coal production to 6.5 million tonnes in 2018 from 4.5 million tonnes in 2017, CEO Sergei Tsivilyov told President Vladimir Putin at a meeting, the Kremlin reported on its website on Tuesday.

“In 2017, we already produced 4.5 million tonnes of coal, we’ve now purchased a lot of equipment, and our plans for 2018 – 6.5 million tonnes of coal,” Tsivilyov said.

The company currently has one mine, one open pit, one ore-dressing plant and will complete construction of a second plant in a month.

The number of employed people at the company is to grow to 8,000 by 2021 from around 3,000 currently, Tsivilyov also said.
